Mauritius is now high on the agenda of festivals of the Creole world with the Festival International Kreol which is holding its fourth edition this year. Organized by the Government of Mauritius, through the Ministry of Tourism and Leisure and its partners, the Festival International Kreol will take place between the 28th of November and the 6th of December.
The theme for the 2009 edition is Viv to kreolite
It brings together singers, dancers, musicians and speakers of the Creole family. Navin Ramgoolam, Prime Minister of Mauritius and Xavier Luc Duval, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Leisure and External Communications, traditionally inaugurate the festival. This year’s festival will celebrate Rodrigues and Agalega.
All events will be opened to the public.
